Glynn Lloyd, FBE Executive Director and Alberto Vasallo, President & CEO of El Mundo Boston
October 2020 Personal Message by Alberto Vasallo, President & CEO of El Mundo Boston
My COVID-19 Response Support Team Advisor, David Roache, has proven to be an incredibly important asset as we continue with our pivot. The area I charged David with was to work extensively and almost exclusively with reorganizing and re-directing our sales department on creating more sales offerings around our digital content and audience.
Specifically, David has been working with our main advertising professional, Jay Cosmopoulos, in looking at what he needs to sell, what resources the company needs to invest in and how we can be more strategic, systematic and structured in our sales approach.
This has led to a more holistic approach to increasing our revenue and also in securing a more realistic sales projection for the rest of 2020 and looking into 2021.
The results speak for themselves. We have a much more focused team-effort which has led to landing several big accounts, while also having more of a team-tackle approach to selling and ensuring deliverables are met for all new clients.
The overall effect is very palpable and apparent in our bottom line. We are very happy with this resource FBE has put on the table for us. The grade for David would be a straight “A”, from me.
