Anthony Rust has 30+ years of experience in the investment industry as a private equity investor, investment banker, financial services professional, and impact investor. As an impact investor, Tony has effectuated change as a financial services investment professional across multiple asset classes. During his professional tenure, he was an investment banker with the Sag Harbor Capital, First Albany Corporation, and Newport Capital. As an investment banker, Tony was involved in structuring and underwriting multimillion-dollar senior-managed and co-managed financing transactions. Further, he assisted in providing financial advisory and capital raising services to public and private market clientele, structured finance clients, authorities and issuers in the cumulative issuance of several billions of dollars of financing transactions.
Additionally, Tony served as the Managing Director of NBEF Investment Advisors, a private equity investment advisory firm focused on investing in BIPOC-owned private companies, and as a Managing Partner of Caribbean Private Equity Partners. His impact investment work has included being a Managing Director and Institutional Portfolio Manager of the Royal Bank of Canada’s (RBC) community investment fund, a Board Member of the Intentional Endowment Network, and a Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee for Warren Wilson College’s endowment fund.
Tony holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University and a master’s from the George Washington University / SUNY joint program.
